Park Forest will spotlight "outstanding dedication" Saturday as the Village hosts its biennial Community Oscar Awards, honoring people and organizations whose commitment strengthens the community.

The ceremony is at 6 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 24, at Freedom Hall, 410 Lakewood Blvd., featuring a Hollywood-inspired atmosphere and red-carpet photos. Park Forest Board of Trustees members will attend, with several serving as emcees.

“The Park Forest Oscars celebrate everyday people who make an extraordinary impact in our Village,” said Evelyn Randle, community relations manager. “From volunteers and educators to business leaders and public servants, these awards highlight all the ways residents contribute to Park Forest.”

Randle and the Commission on Human Relations host the biennial Park Forest Community Oscar Awards, recognizing excellence in civic leadership, education, volunteerism, public service, public safety, and the arts.

Awards will honor long-standing service, exceptional leadership, business advocacy, community engagement, as well as the achievements of educators, students, and public servants whose work has made a meaningful difference.

“Each honoree represents a story of commitment to this community,” Randle said. “It’s important to pause and publicly recognize those efforts, while inspiring others to get involved.”

Randle said the Park Forest Community Oscar Awards are a proud celebration of the community’s spirit. The event unites honorees and residents, reflecting the dedication and collaboration that define the Village.
