Freedom Hall is a premier theatre and concert venue in the Chicago suburbs, featuring the Nathan Manilow Theatre, which seats 287 guests. This intimate venue is ideal for concerts, theatre performances, and a variety of events. Located at 410 Lakewood Boulevard in Park Forest, Illinois, Freedom Hall is conveniently accessible from Lincoln Highway, Western Avenue, and Interstate 57. Since 1976, Freedom Hall has hosted a diverse array of concerts, theatre performances, comedy acts, and events in the Nathan Manilow Theatre. Our main series has showcased renowned artists such as Better Together, Shemekia Copeland, Booker T, Billy Branch, Masters of Soul, George Winston, Alex Cuba and Terisa Griffin. In addition, we offer exceptional children’s theatre programming and local dance recitals, making Freedom Hall a beloved cultural hub in Park Forest.

The Nathan Manilow and Theatre and Freedom Hall is perfect rental location for concerts, theatre productions, and corporate events. Additionally, there are two banquet rooms that are perfect for baby showers, family gatherings or birthday parties.

You can also call or visit Freedom Hall's Box Office during regular business hours, Tuesday - Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., September through May. Summer hours are available by appointment.

Nathan Manilow Theatre

The Nathan Manilow Theatre is a 287-seat venue that has been praised by performers and producers alike. The accessible theatre is equipped with a professional sound system, complete theatrical lighting, a screen on stage, and an acoustical backdrop all of which makes the Nathan Manilow Theatre ideal for theatre groups, recitals, audio/visual presentations or lecture events.

Ralph G. Johnson Room

The carpeted Johnson Room is equipped with a large screen and has easy access to the service kitchen. The Johnson Room is perfect for all-day seminars, instructional programs or private events. The Johnson Room accommodates 65 people theatre style or with tables.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Room

The carpeted King Room also overlooks Central Park and is perfect for small meetings or planning groups requiring privacy and quiet solitude; connected to the Johnson Room and the service kitchen by a small hallway, the King Room works well as a discussion area when more than one room is required for an all-day event. The King Room can accommodate 25 people theatre style or with tables.
