This is another in a series of stellar students from “The Class of 2014” at Rich East High School in Park Forest, Ill. All students were given a series of the same questions. All responses are in their exact words, except for minor editing for content and space when needed.

1. Are you a Park Forest Resident? How long? At Rich East all four years? I’m not a Park Forest resident anymore but I have attended Rich East all four years.

2. What do you like the most about Rich East? What I like most about Rich East are my friends and the student-teacher relationships I formed. The teachers really care. The school is pretty small so it’s more like a community. I love the community atmosphere.

3. Activities/Athletics participated in? I have participated in track and field for four years, basketball for three years and tennis for two years..

4. GPA/Class Rank. My GPA is 3.545 and my class rank is 15th out of 167.

5. Teacher{s} and/or coaches who have most inspired you: My statistics teacher, Mr. (Mike) Blomarz has inspired me the most. He always encourages his students to keep working hard and not to slack or become lazy.

6. ACT: I received a 20 on my ACT.

7. College choice{s}? Major? I am looking at Northern Illinois University, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale and Governors State University. I will major in mathematics.

8. What music is replaying on your ipod or phone these days? I listen to a lot of 90s hip-hop mostly. I like the childhood memories that these songs evoke.

9. Favorite TV Shows/Books: Silly shows like SpongeBob! I don’t have a favorite book but I love the author, Jodi Picoult.

10. Junk Foods? Nothing beats a Nestles Crunch bar and a grape Arizona!

11. Places that you’d most like to visit? I want to visit Mexico and Europe.

12. Where do you want to be in five years? In ten years? In five years I want to be into my career and in 10 years, I hope I have started a family.
