Today, the Village of Park Forest revealed the summer lineup for its Main Street Nights concert series, a staple event in the community. 

This free summer event will be held every Wednesday evening in the heart of Downtown, specifically on the Village Green, providing a vibrant atmosphere for locals and visitors alike. It's worth noting Main Street Nights will shift to Friday on July 4 only for Independence Day and the fireworks show. Attendees can enjoy an array of live music performances, food from various vendors, and entertainment throughout the evening. The main act is scheduled to take the stage at 7:30 p.m., following an opening act that starts at 6:30 p.m. 

Cultural Arts Supervisor Victor Blackful said this year's theme, "Soundtrack of the Summer," promises to deliver an unforgettable musical experience. The concert series will kick off on June 11, coinciding with the Residence Appreciation Night, during which the Village will host a barbecue to celebrate community members. Blackful said he has high hopes for this year's lineup, aiming to elevate the event's success further. 

"Last year was amazing," Blackful expressed. "So, I decided we must do it even bigger this year. We've secured some truly fantastic acts, showcasing a diverse range of music that includes funk, jazz, and even a dedicated country night, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy."

Some of the music guests include Park'  Ride, Midnight Sun, Melody Angel, Javon Watson, Maggie Speaks, the Bernie Glim Show, Fredi Taylor, and NU Source Band.

Additionally, on Movie Night, scheduled for July 30, they'll be screening the family-friendly movie Inside Out 2.

Main Street Nights will kick off on June 11 and will take place weekly until Aug. 6 at 349 Main St. For the complete lineup, click here.
