The final yard waste pick-up day of 2014 is November 25. Be sure to stop in to Village Hall, prior to November 25, to pick-up your yard waste bags and stickers, and round out your seasonal clean-up of fallen leaves and other yard waste before winter!
Leaves can be disposed of in Star Disposal yard waste bags or non-Star Disposal yard waste bags. Non-Star Disposal yard waste bags require a Star Disposal sticker in order to be collected. Star Disposal stickers must be purchased and placed on each non-Star Disposal yard waste bag to be collected.
All yard waste bags should be placed at the curb for collection on your regularly scheduled Tuesday garbage days.
As a reminder to residents: Raking or blowing leaves into the streets is prohibited by Village ordinance. When leaves fill the streets and enter the storm inlets, the Village's storm system becomes clogged -- negatively impacting many residents. Individuals who are witnessed raking leaves into the streets are subject to fines.
